SPRING MUSINGS
At the middle of winter, February 2nd,
the Goddess rises from the earth, stretches like a she-bear and
prepares to give birth to the infant sun-god. A festival of waxing
light, a celebration of the sun gaining strength, of days growing
longer. With the birth of the sun, we find new hope and look forward
to the coming year's bounties.
In this time of strengthening and renewal,
we let go of that which no longer belongs to us; we break the bonds
which hold us back from becoming of full potential selves. Seeds
of thought, of plans, of dreams planted in the darkness of winter
are just beginning to awaken. The tiniest first threads have begun
to emerge from our seeds, rooting deeply in our ground, in our center.
The blood within us begins to rise, we begin to grow, to renew just
as the green blood of the trees begins to rise after a long winter's
rest.
We demonstrate our ability that is
inherent in all of us. All we need to do is reach down deep within
ourselves and tap into it.
